VIRTUAL RUN
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a Virtual Run?

A virtual race can be completed anytime, anywhere. You run at your own pace.

Do I have to run?

Although we encourage participants to run, MadRunners is a club that welcomes beginners to ultra marathon runners. Recovery walking is part of our training. You can complete your miles by running, jogging or walking.

How far do I have to run?

The required distance will be specified on the challenge page. For solo runs the distance needs to be completed in one go. Some medal challenges can be completed as several runs to complete the total distance.

How do I provide proof that I have completed the challenge?

We are using an honesty system where we trust that you have completed your miles within the set timescale. If you gain a place on the leaderboard we may get in touch to request a screenshot or further information from your tracker or app. If you complete the challenge at a MadRunners session or social run we will note it for you.

Will there be a race winner?

We will post results including a leaderboard of the top 3. This is Just for Fun and there are no prizes or cash value.

Can I run more than the target?

Of course. You can run as far as you want, once you complete the set distance you will qualify for your medal*.

Do I have to join the MadRunners Club?

New members are always welcome but you dont have to be a MadRunner and all those who register will be a Virtual MadRunner! Participants are welcome from anywhere in the U.K. whether you run with a club or just for fun.
